1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using MRT CrowdCheck (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. About the App

MRT CrowdCheck provides real-time information about Singapore MRT train services, including crowd levels and service data, using publicly available data from the Land Transport Authority (LTA) DataMall API.

The App is intended for general informational purposes only.

3. Data Accuracy Disclaimer

While we aim to provide accurate and up-to-date information:

  • Data is sourced from third-party services (LTA DataMall)
  • We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or real-time correctness
  • Service disruptions or delays may occur without notice

Users should not rely solely on the App for critical travel decisions.

4. No User Accounts or Data Collection

The App:

  • Does not require user registration
  • Does not collect personal data such as name, email, or location
  • Does not store user data on servers

Some network usage is required to fetch real-time transport data and load advertisements.

5. Third-Party Services

5.1 LTA DataMall

Used to retrieve MRT and transport data.

5.2 Google AdMob

The App displays advertisements using Google AdMob.

AdMob may collect and process data such as:

  • Device identifiers (including advertising ID)
  • IP address
  • Ad interaction data
  • Device and diagnostic information

We do not control or access this data.

6. In-App Purchase (Remove Ads)

Users may purchase a one-time in-app purchase (SGD $2.98)to remove advertisements.

  • Payment is processed by Apple via the App Store
  • We do not collect or store payment details
  • Purchases may be restored on supported Apple devices

7. License to Use the App

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer or modify the App
  • Use the App for illegal or harmful activities
  • Interfere with its operation or servers

8. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and design of MRT CrowdCheck (excluding third-party data such as LTA and Google Ads) belong to the developer.

You may not copy, redistribute, or reproduce the App’s content without permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The App is provided “as is” and “as available”
  • We are not liable for any losses, delays, or damages arising from use of the App
  • This includes missed trains, incorrect data, or service interruptions

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App at any time if necessary, without prior notice.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
