MRT CrowdCheck (“the App”) provides real-time public transport crowding and train information for Singapore’s MRT system using data from the Land Transport Authority (LTA) DataMall API.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 No Personal Data Collected

MRT CrowdCheck does not require users to create an account, and we do not collect, store, or process any personally identifiable information, such as:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Location data
  • Contacts or photos

2.2 Network and Usage Data

The App may temporarily use your device’s internet connection to:

  • Fetch real-time MRT and crowding data from LTA DataMall
  • Load advertisements via Google AdMob (if not removed)

This network activity is used only to deliver app functionality and is not stored by us.

3. Third-Party Services

3.1 LTA DataMall

The App uses data from the Land Transport Authority (LTA) DataMall API to display public transport information. LTA DataMall may have its own usage policies:

3.2 Google AdMob

The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements.

AdMob may collect and process certain data, including:

  • Device identifiers (such as advertising ID)
  • IP address (approximate location inference)
  • Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
  • Device and diagnostic information

This data is collected and processed by Google in accordance with its privacy policy:

We do not control or access this data.

4. Advertising Removal

Users may remove advertisements through a one-time in-app purchase of SGD $2.98.

  • Ads will be permanently disabled (subject to Apple restore rules)
  • No additional functionality is affected

Purchases are handled securely by the Apple App Store. We do not store or process payment information.

5. Data Storage

We do not store any personal data because the App does not require login, does not create user accounts, and does not maintain user profiles.

6. Children’s Privacy

MRT CrowdCheck does not knowingly collect any personal data from children under 13.

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to ensure that no personal data is collected or stored, and that only necessary network requests are made to provide app functionality.

8. Your Rights

Since we do not collect personal data, there is no personal data stored for users to access, modify, or delete.

For third-party data handling (e.g., Google AdMob), please refer to their respective policies.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected within the App or on the App Store listing.
